Introduce yourself to our readers
My name is Bienvenue Anais and I currently work as sales operations officer at Uzima Chicken Ltd. am a hard-working and driven individual who isn’t afraid to face a challenge. I’m passionate about my work and I know how to get the job done.

 

Please tell us about your role and what it entails on a day-to-day basis:

As a Sales Operations Officer, my role revolves around ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales processes within the organization. In a typical day as a Sales Operations Officer, my tasks involve a blend of analytical, strategic, and operational activities to ensure our clients receive their products in good conditions.

 

Tell us a bit about your journey with Uzima from the time you started to date:

I joined the company 2 years ago I joined Uzima as sales and marketing officer. I was then promoted to a Customer Inisghts officer before moving into my current role. I have also had the opportunity to set in and own our import and export work for 4 months when a colleague was on maternity leave. I must say my journey with Uzima Chicken has been incredibly rewarding and filled with growth.

 

What drew you to work here?

I was drawn to work here for several reasons. But top of the list is Uzima Chicken’s Mission which is making smallholder farmers Healthier and Wealthier. I felt compelled to be a part of that mission.

 

What do you enjoy the most about working with Uzima?

I enjoy many things. One of them is the sense of purpose and passion. From our mission-driven initiatives to our day-to-day operations, there’s a lot of energy and enthusiasm for making a positive impact.

I also appreciate the collaborative environment that Uzima Chicken fosters. It’s truly inspiring to work alongside individuals who are incredibly supportive and eager to help each other succeed.

 

Can you share a skill/hobby you have that people might not know?

One hobby that people might not know about me is that outside of work, I’m love singing. It’s something that brings me a lot of joy and fulfilment.

 

What advice would you give to people starting out in a career like yours?

My advice is to seek out mentorship and learning opportunities, and find experienced professionals in the field who can offer guidance and support as they navigate their career. And never stop learning – whether it’s through courses or on-the-job experiences, there’s always something new to discover.
